The Return

What did you do or where did you go over spring break? As spring break came and went to quickly college students have made their way back to school. When college students plan for their spring break most students end up going to a beach somewhere or travel to another country. They aim for a week away from reality and a chance to travel which is a common goal for majority of students. The ability to travel and possibly be able to see new places and gain new experiences.

This year for spring break I stayed back at home with my family. During the week I spent my days with my dad and one of my younger sisters who was also on spring break from the University of Findlay. However, we did not do too much we spent most of the days outside soaking up the warm sun. We also took my aunt out for lunch because her birthday was the week beforehand. With that being said I truly had a relaxing and laid back spring break besides the days I had work.

With all that being said next spring semester it will be my last spring break so I have started to come up with ideas so that I can save money. Of course some of my options start with places in the United States such as; the Carolina's, Florida, Las Vegas, Texas. However, on the opposite side of thing's there are some options that are not in the United States. One of them being London and although it would be a pricy trip it is somewhere I have always wanted to see and experience. Another option would be to visit Greece as the history and architecture is magnificent. Although there are so many options it will be fairly easy to make the decision based on how large of group will go and how much everyone is willing to spend or work to save up as it is a year away. A year should be more than enough time to set aside money for any travel costs needed for next year.

Needless to say this year was more laid back but I am very excited to travel next year for spring break. I have been eager to travel to other places and next spring break it will happen. There are lots of factors to take in when planning but it will all be worth it.

Social Media's connection with Mental Health

Is there a connection between social media and mental health? The answer to that question is yes and as technology grows and social media platforms progress the more individuals are aware of the connection.      On a personal level I have first-hand come to realize how social media can affect one's mental health. I remember when I first got on social media, I was constantly comparing myself to other females on the platform and wished that I could look like how they did. Then I was fixated on how many likes I got on each of my posts. Social media was destroying my mental health and self-esteem day in and day out. I would constantly look at my phone to see if I had any notifications from someone trying to follow me or liking one of my posts. However, I made changes and over the years since then I have made sure to take time away from social media by completely deleting my accounts and refocusing in on me when I started to feel the negative impact again. Social media ...
